The 54 day Novena for Our Nation concludes with Rosary Coast to Coast featuring hundreds of Rosary Rallies across the country on the October 7 Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. Rosary Coast to Coast is anchored by the 3rd annual National Rosary Rally on October 7 at the US Capitol, headlined by speakers comprised of nationally known Catholic clergy and laypeople.
The 2018 National Rosary Rally will take place on Oct. 7th is starting with Sunday Mass at St. Peter’s Church on Capitol Hill. Following the Mass there will be a procession to the rally site which takes place in Union Square to the west of the US Capitol in front of the Capitol reflecting pool. The Mass starts at 1:00pm and ends with the rally at 4:30pm. The Mass fulfills the Sunday obligation and the first decade will be said during the procession to the rally site. All are welcome to attend all or any part of the event and registration is not required. Please see the schedule below for the event times. All four Rosaries will be prayed along with intentions which include: respect for life at all stages of development; the sanctity of marriage and families; upholding constitutionally protected religious freedom; and the return of our nation to God and Holiness.
Fr. Heilman clarifies: “Importantly, this is not intended to be a political event. Our hope is to influence the direction of our country through prayer”.
“I wholeheartedly endorse the Novena for Our Nation and the Rosary Rally on October 7 next, the 445th anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto. I urge as many as are able to participate in these great spiritual works for the sake of our entire nation.”
Cardinal Raymond Burke
“This 54 Day Novena for Our Nation and National Rosary Rally come at a critical and most serious time of crisis in our country. I cannot think of a more powerful response on the part of Catholics than to pray, fast and come together for the conversion of our nation.”
Fr. Stephen Imbarrato, Priests for Life
“Today we find ourselves in a Spiritual Battle. Government actions and court rulings are in conflict with God’s law. Persecution of traditional religious belief and practice is unprecedented. In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, we are called upon to help turn our country back towards God. We will accomplish that through prayer; prayer that can change hearts, change our families, change our communities and change our country. There is no stronger weapon in this Spiritual Battle than the Rosary.”
